Siro Flow - Privacy Policy

Siro Flow is a Windows app that turns your speech into text: you hold a key, speak, and the text is typed into the app you are using. This page explains what happens to your data.

What the app does with your voice and text

• Microphone. The microphone is used only while you hold the dictation key. Nothing is recorded in the background.
• Speech-to-text. The recording is sent over an encrypted connection to the speech-to-text service you configured in the app, using your own API key: ElevenLabs first, then Groq or OpenAI if the first one fails. These companies process your audio under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Text clean-up. The transcript is sent to Groq's language model to remove filler words and add punctuation, together with the name and kind of the app you are typing into (for example "outlook, email") and the names and terms from your personal vocabulary list. The window title is never sent.
• No Siro Flow server. This version of Siro Flow has no servers of its own. We do not receive, store or see your audio, your text or your keys.

What stays on your PC

• Your API keys are stored in Windows Credential Manager, encrypted for your Windows account.
• History. The text of your recent dictations (original and cleaned) is kept in a small local database so you can paste the last one again. It is kept for 30 days by default and can be switched off or deleted in Settings. Audio is never stored.
• Your vocabulary, snippets and style settings are plain files in your user profile.

What we do not do

No advertising, no analytics or telemetry, no selling or sharing of data, no accounts.

Your choices

• Uninstall the app to stop all processing.
• Delete your history, or remove your API keys, in Siro Flow's Settings.
• To delete data held by ElevenLabs, Groq or OpenAI, use those services' own controls.

Children

Siro Flow is not directed at children under 13.
